About Me
Brian Beitzel
I grew up in southern California, where sports, outdoors and relationship with Jesus Christ were a big part of my life. The second oldest of 5 kids and the only boy (yes that is 4 sisters) my parents always encouraged me to follow my passions. I began playing golf when I was 5 years old, and it became my favorite sport.
Golf and God helped me stayed focused as I persevered through struggles of being dyslexic. Upon graduating from high school, I discovered another passion of mine, snowboarding. Most of my twenties were spent working at ski resorts and traveling around.
These travels led me to Montana where I spent the summer working at a golf course. That summer rekindled my passion for golf and sparked my interest to pursue a career in golf management. I completed a degree at Professional Golfers Career College in Temecula, California and started working in the golf industry running youth tournaments in Southern California.
Next, I took a maintenance position at a Christian camp with my friends where I met and began dating my now wife. Just 3 months into our marriage, a former boss from the golf course in Montana reached out to offer to train me to take over as Head Professional when he stepped down at the end of the year. As newlyweds packed everything up and moved to Montana to launch my career as a Golf Professional.
4 extreme Montana winters pushed us to relocate to North Carolina where golf can be played year-round rather than just 5 months of the year.
Now living in North Carolina, it took only one week to find a job as an Assistant Professional and Tournament Coordinator at a Raleigh golf course. 18 months of this role helped me to realize my skill and ability to customize and repair golf clubs. I now serve as the Club Repair Technician while pursuing my long-term goal of completing the PGA program.
My journey through the first level of the PGA program earned my first sponsorship with my favorite brand, TaylorMade.
